thinking of getting fascinate question

another plus is its basically a nexus S with 2.1 :P

I am pretty much going to buy it but just waiting a bit, to see if i can to see if they release dj05 and or 2.2

I don't want to get burnt. To be honest I don't like the droid x too big for me, so if for some reason, I don't get fascinate then will just hold out until they announce other phones, but i doubt i can wait that long.

Also can you buy any usb cable for the phone or have to use the samsung cable? reason i ask is i read one review and guy could not get it to work unless using samsung cable..I want to get 2 cables, one for home, and one for work so I can charge it at work? I usually buy my cables from monoprice

Yes, hopefully an update comes soon!! I'm surprised there's such little support for such a great device.

As for a cable, I've used the micro usb that came with my Droid 1 without any problems. In theory, any cable should work, but I wouldn't be surprised if some didn't for whatever, unexplained reason. I used a blackberry one to charge my original droid and it messed with the screen somehow...

It funny I love samsung tv and monitors..I have a samsung 50 inch plasma and a samsung 20 inch monitor for PC, and never had an issue...but then again don't need updates for them LOL

Their screens are awesome IMO.

Haha, I agree! Samsung makes very high quality products, and I'm not entirely sure why they get knocked all the time. Their screens are indeed, pretty great, and the Super AMOLED on the Fascinate is amazing. Just wish we could be seeing a little Froyo on that beautiful display ;)

Question.. you guys are talking about getting the phone for $89 and $49... are you not Verizon customers already? I thought these prices are with new activation.... I'd love to get a Fascinate, but am not eligable for an upgrade yet.... (sorry for the threadjack OP)

www.wirefly.com

They have a good deal on the fascinate as well as other phones

Hi all, I am new here but I was told that this is the site to naswer my Fascinate question...thank you in advance for your help.
I just bought an Acura MDX (no nav) bae model with handsfree/bluetooth and I will like to get the SamSung Fascinate smartphone. Acura site does not list this unit as either compatible or not...what is your opinion or advice...I do not trust Acura too much since I found that they list the Blacberry 9650 Bold as not compatible (unable to make handsfree calls) and I was able to do so...I just got this Blackberry but I want echange it with the Fascinate.
Again any help is appreciated...thanks
Ralph L.

i checked wirefliy but you have to be a new customer to get deal, while best buy will give you deal if you are extending contract by 2 years and elgible for upgrade

Silly question how long do I have to charge it before really using it?

I know when I got my LG Dare it was recommended to fully charge for at least 12 hours, to condition the battery

Has that changed

Get it, let it die and charge it past full. That's how you "jumpstart" the battery. Do that once a month at least.

Got a question, is the fascinate suppose to feel warm in the back by the camera?

Mine seems to get very warm, more so then I would expect for a phone?

I don't recall feeling this in the store but then again it was mostly locked down so hard to tell?
