First the whole thing with mp3s sometimes not playing, then I'll record stuff/take pictures and it won't go through for some reason, it says cannot play/view the file. What's up with this? When I had my iPhone I never had any issues like that and the OS was smooth as butter, while this one sometimes will get laggy and the only way to fix it is to do a battery pull. I know none of you work for Motorola/Google so it's not your fault this phone has so many issues like that, I guess I'm just venting. Before you say, oh you can download an app for this, for that, etc... it shouldn't work like that, simple features such as music player and camera should work straight outta the box. Anyone else experience these issues?

i agree out of box this phone is kinda ass. but if you try some custom roms (rubux) i think you wont have as many problems
I think u may have gotten a lemon. I can't say my DX doesn't have a glitch every now and then but it is rare. I have it rooted and overclocked but no new roms or anything like that. Maybe a factory reset can solve your problems or maybe it knows you used to have an iphone and its messing with you

User Error??
Cute, but no.
I had a Motorola Droid for over a year and never had these issues. How could it be user error if they're both widely known bugs found after 2.2?
Also, I forgot to include this in the OP but the camera is really sluggish when in video mode, it's like it's at 5fps.
Not having any of the issues your having.
Not special, I know some have issues. But most issues are fixable.

Motorola has acknowledged a whole list of problems on the Droid X. They've been working on the patch for a couple of months, and hopefully it will be out this week.
Many apps have long since developed fixes that minimize the problems, but several still exist.
All Droid X's have the problems if they run stock 2.2. It's not a phone-by-phone issue. Many people don't use the features that have bugs, but nonetheless they still exist.
Here's hoping we see the update this week.

Im not having any problems...
As for the music player and camera, I prefer using a third party app..way way more options wither its for effects or just the looks..
Some ppl get lucky and get a device that's advertised on TV...

+1. I don't get it. Somehow I'm the only dx user that didn't have any problems when I was stock 2.2 ota, none rooted, deodexed, or themed...short of the known bgx slider reset issue...my dx gets wifi, gps, lasts two days on a battery...
Edit...i had the lock up issue with the stock music player. I use mixzing instead. For some reason, it never locked up when I was stock 2.2. And my camera, video, sd card, and gps all work fine. Wtf?
