I'm a happy owner of a Suzuki V-Strom, perfect all round bike.

Has anyone thought about mounting a Droid on a bike and use it's Google map function as a a GPS?

I have a Cardo Rider 2 intercom that has BlueTooth capabilities so I can hear route commands.

I have a Garmin mounted to my bike. Its waterproof, unlike the Droid. Ive ridden with a guy that would mount an HTC flip to the top of his triple trees with Velcro.

Thank you, sir. I put 9000 miles on it this summer. Would have been more, but the weather here has been crappy all summer. It rained almost every day in Sturgis and on the way up and the way back.

I have a Garmin mounted to my bike. Its waterproof, unlike the Droid. Ive ridden with a guy that would mount an HTC flip to the top of his triple trees with Velcro.

Since the turn-by-turn navigation on the Droid will give the voice commands through a stereo bluetooth headset, I have set up the navigation for where I want to go, put on my moto s9 headset, and put my Droid in my jacket pocket. Works great!

I've got an '04 SV1000, I love that damn thing but will prolly sell it soon since I rarely have the chance to ride it anymore. I bought an 07 GSXR600 for the wife, but sold it when she turned up pregnant somehow (lol) and I didn't want to pay for a bike that was just sitting in the garage.
