I've been meaning to install find my phone and kept forgetting. You guys just helped me remember. But...which one are you using? I saw three on the Play Store.

I use the one with the pink and blue. "Find My Phone" I believe it's called.
Wear face collection also has a disconnect notice ability if you like their faces.
As for not remembering numbers, I'm not even sure that I CAN'T remember numbers, but I know I sure DON'T anymore. That stems back from cell phones in general for me though, not just smartphones. I used to know all of my friends's numbers by heart. Now, I don't even know my fiance's number. I took my stepson to the doctor yesterday for her and had to check my phone when she asked if his contact numbers were the same. If I was ever arrested and couldn't use my phone for a phonebook, I'd have to call work. My parents got a new number a few years back and I don't have that one in my own memory either. I'm pretty sure work is the only number I know by heart and that's just because I have to give it out from time to time.

Cool. Not to steer this thread off topic, but that is a feature I would like to see incorporated into the AW app. Not sure why Google didn't do that. Find My Phone is OK and it works, but its another app separate from AW, instead of a built in feature. Maybe I will email Google the suggestion.

Android didn't bake Gmail into its firmware until froyo but even then it wasn't on my first firmware update that took my Inc to froyo. It didn't have native ability to save attachments in Gmail until just before Gingerbread. Give it time. It'll get there.
I love the app. I prefer it separate. Google would add it to AW and it wouldn't be as good. And then you'd be unable to remove it if you want something else.

I wish Android made all of their baked in apps options instead of baked in but that's a dead horse topic. I like AW keeping things simple with the option to complicate them as much as users want now.
Agree x1000.
It still annoys me that Google won't let us decide what gets displayed in the Notify tray at the top of our phones.
I hate having the time up there. Always have. The one thing I miss about Root is being able to disable that.
I was speaking more of apps than settings. Back in the good old days of Android when app space was much more limited most Google apps were optional. We could decide if we preferred them or an aftermarket by another developer. With watches we're back to the limited memory and back then Google was much better at seeing what users preferred and adding it to their apps as features and what not instead of embedding them.
I hope AW stays to the roots of Android and let's the user define what they prefer, let the owners wallet do the talking.
At this point launchers are about as close to customizing native settings as possible without a new Rom. I'm sure you're aware but Nova has a full screen ability to remove the clock up top. With us having watches now we really don't need a pull down bar anymore of any kind other than habit. Under Look and Feel uncheck show notifications, and if you want your pull down just tap/drag the top of the screen it shows up for about 5 seconds, drag it down to get your pull downs.
I received my first "aha" moment last night. The Tom Tom Nav in my Mazda 3 suddenly could not find a GPS signal, so I looked up an address with Google Maps and hit navigate. Just before a turn I received my notification to turn via my watch. I knew about the navigation on the watch, but it just surprised me... Aha!
