Titanium Backup question

I just recently rooted and installed TB, I have read that in order to restore all of my apps in the future from TB i need to stop the market downloader. I understand why I need to do this I just dont know where I do this. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I think, please some one tell me i'm wrong. But going into Market, press the Settings button. uncheck Auto-update app. Although I have not been hearing that same thing.

That is only to manually update apps. If you don't want to bother with that then check autoupdate apps. It doesn't help out the OP though.

Oh Sorry. I guess I don't know what OP means. Also I'm guessing that force stopping of the service is a one time step before recovering? Because after rebooting your phone, the Market service will start again. Or am I lost?

Correct. Force stopping will temporarily disable the app whatever it may be. The market will sometimes start up on me while restoring apps from TiBU, but it won't hurt anything.

Go to settings/apps/all/market and force stop. Its not a must to do this but it will save you some data if you're on a tiered plan.

Thanks for the replies. I have an unlimited data plan so no worries there. I guess by stopping apps restoring from the market its just easier for TB to do it wish all of the data associated with each app.

Ya TiBU just makes things easier and faster. I just keep the TiBU APK on my SD and after a data wipe, just install the TiBU APK and run a restore of the user apps (never restore system apps). I don't even worry about the market anymore. If it auto-restores then fine, if it doesn't then even better.

Is there a way to automatically push my back up to DropBox? Or do I have to manually tell TiBu to "sync with DropBox"?

Thanks
