thanks, good to know. I guess the one thing holding me back is the fact that gingerbread is around the corner and i dont want to do anything that will prevent me from getting that update. That being said, i dont see the X getting gingerbread anytime soon seeing how long we had to wait for froyo. Then again the update will probably come the day after i bite the bullet and root
