For the most part I use the root apps, much like other apps, the difference is the amount of control. The one app listed as #2 ClockSync, it overrides Verizon's system time and replaces it with time collected from an Atomic clock. Usually the difference is 10ths of a second depending on the running length. The other app BusyBoxPro I can temp unroot which hides superuser and supersu, however leaves BusyBoxPro and still take OTA very safely. These apps are simply used as wanted, whether its installed and once, done or tweak this or that.
