2. Launcher Pro (Love it, it is much better than stock home but a lot)
3.Better Alarm (I think it is better than the stock alarm app)
4.Dolphin Browser HD (The best internet browsing app I have used, and I have tried almost all of them)
5.K-9 mail (Much better than the stock email app, easy to use too)
3: Top 5 "unknown" apps
1.Gmote (Use it to control your computer from your droid)
2.Mileage (Keeps track of gas mileage and price per fill up ect. It is great)
3.Timeriffic (Set times to have your phone silent, on vibrate, or on full ring at any time of the day)
4.Stumble Upon (I haven't seen much talk about this app, but it it the best time killer out there. Basically you enter your preferences and it takes you to random websites based on them)
5.Zombie run (If you have a boring walk somewhere, fire up this app! You choose how many zombies and how fast they move, then it uses GPS to determine where you are and you have to get to your destination without being caught by the zombies. It is a lot of fun sometimes!)

1.Angry Birds (everyone should know what this is)
2. Cargo HD (You run a shipping industry, package and ship all the supplies!)
3. Pocket Legends (Great free MMO)

Awesome post! Exactly what a new Android user like myself needs to really experience what is out there. Getting my used D1 and will be rooting, rom, wifi tether, etc.. immediately. Can't wait to try out these apps. Thanks Everyone who posted!
Is there an app that allows you to see whatever "attractions" are near you? Like on the GPS devices where you can see what restaurants, malls, etc.
