Touch screen displays nothing, but I can still answer phone.

Screen seemed to stop working yesterday. I thought touchscreen was broke, but then my phone rang. I swiped the touchscreen and was able to answer the call. So the touch is working but nothing displays on screen. It does seem to get a little brighter but no display. Keyboard still lights up and keys on bottom of touchscreen light up also. I am using a rooted OG Droid running MIUI on the stock kernel. Would really like to have my phone for a few more months so any help would be greatly appreciated.
