touch screen works...for about 30 seconds

alright. my droids touch screen works for about 30 seconds after i pull the battery and reboot the thing. but if you call or let if go into sleep mode the touch screen sends out a big "F*** YOU!" and wont work. repeat the pulling of the battery and you can get it to work. any ideas?

Are you rooted? If so make a nandroid backup and reinstall your ROM of choice and see if that works. If not, unroot and get a warranty replacement. If your not rooted, i would just take it to the Verizon store.
