Touchscreen is completely dead.

My Droid has been working fine ever since I got it. I wake up this morning, check my e-mail, weather, etc. Then I make a call. During the call I try to use the number pad but it wont work. I can't hang up the call either.

I pull the battery and reboot the phone thinking it was just a glitch with the phone.apk. After reboot the touchscreen still doesn't work. I tried a longer battery pull, about 10 minutes. Still the same thing.

Then I tried restoring a backup from 6 days ago. Same problem persists. This really sucks.

I'm guessing i'm going to have to flash the stock SBF and take it in to Verizon for warranty work (since its less than a year old)



Anyone have any other ideas?

Flashed the stock SBF with RSDLite 4.6 and the problem is definitely a bad screen - still persists.

Took it to Verizon and just got back with a "Like-New Certified" phone. Guess thats different than a refurb?

Oh well, now to figure out how I want to get back to root.

Sorry you're having problems. Unfortunately, "Like-New Certified" is Verizon lingo for refurbished phone. They're the same.
