I've tried all the signed apps and they all worked iirc. As for the unsigned apps I've only tried one or two but what I did was drop the apk file in the system/app directory of the clockwork empty.zip and that seemed to work.
You may run in to some issues because these apps were mostly built for d1 so some of the system apps may have certain issues. Example would be vending.apk not opening which happened to me a while back when the new market was first being themed. Make sure you have a backup of any app you are theming.
It's working about as well as a VCR would work in my house. Or an 8track in my car.
It's pissing me off is what it's doing. I'm griping, bear with me.... I change the manifest to theme.wallpaper to go the transparent route. Then, I go in and change what the program defines solid_black to be. Meaning change from ff000000 to 00000000. So I then recompile and install it. Works pefectly.. except its still freaking black..lol Now, if I go in and edit styles.xml to be theme.wallpaper as well then Facebook inastalls and my phone boots pefectly fine except then Facebook doesn't show up in my app drawer. It does show installed in my system/app folder though but you obviously can't run it from there.
Kinda stuck because when it didn't work I was sort of in shock since that is basically how you make anything transparent.
I downloaded and installed fine. So I wanted to change out some .pngs.
I've done it by just changing the 16 .pngs in drawable-hdpi-v4. I've used 7zip, I've extracted with Apk Manager and zipped back up, everytime I install I look in system/app, GenieWidget.apk is there, with the right permissions. but I can't find it in the app drawer or as a widget!?
So I re-installed the original version and same thing can't find it anywhere but in the system/app folder!
I don't know what is going on, most of the rest I've tried and worked fine.
Well, even though it's a different app, at least now I know I'm not the only one whos app dissapears from the app drawer even though it installed...lol
Read my previous post (The one I was ranting in..lol). Certain edits I make to Facebook to make it transparent cause it to install fine but not show up in my app drawer.
If you want to fix it, go into the system/app folder and delete it. Then install a working version. It will return to your app drawer. Facebook did at least.
D2 owners..........I installed a few of them, here are my results.
Contacts.apk- did not work
Email.apk- did not work
