Trouble rooting Bionic 5.9.905

First off, Hello to all, my name is Angel. I'm not entirely sure if I'm posting this in the right area or not, so I do apologize in advance if this doesn't belong here. I've had my bionic a few months now, and I've become interested in rooting it (for all the obvious reasons) so I started browsing and doing research. I have a pretty strong technical background so, none of this is confusing to me, I'm just not seeing what I'm doing wrong. Maybe one of you can help me out?

Droid Bionic 5.9.905 (just to make sure we're on the same page:popcorn:)

- USB connection set to "Charge Only."

- USB debugging is checked.

- Motorola drivers are installed and up to date.

- Downloaded Motofail and extracted zip file to desktop.

- Running "run.bat" from extracted Motofail folder as admin

- Command prompt comes out/looks like it's doing it's thing, but everything fails.

- Phone reboots twice with command prompt, and nothing.

I took some screen shots of my desktop to give you all a visual.

If anyone could help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks for your suggestion, it's much appreciated. However, it wasn't the answer to my problem. I tried all the same steps, but with my phone in mass storage mode, and still got the same failed results from the command prompt. Here's a screen shot of it.

Is there something I might be missing, or not doing correctly?

Did u extract all of the files from motofail to a folder on desktop then run the exploit by clicking on run.batch

I did, I used 7zip to extract it. I've tried right clicking run.bat and running as admin, and I've also tried just double clicking it.

I followed along step by step with the link you posted, I even took it extra slow, and nothing. I've tried using different USB ports on my PC, and I even tried using a different computer all together. The same failures come up on the command prompt. Now I'm seriously confused as to what I'm doing wrong. I'm beginning to think something might be wrong with the phone? It's definitely getting to be frustrating, especially since this shouldn't be a complicated procedure. :frown:

I never had a problem with 7zip its the preferred developer unzipping tool but glad u got it to work :)

Thanks a lot krazyace, and others who chimed in to help out as well! I finally got root access using motofail:icon_ banana:. For some odd reason what made it work was disabling USB debugging and then enabling it again while the phone was plugged in. At least that's what I think it was, as it was the only thing I did differently this time. Again thank you, I appreciate the help.
