Nexus or not, all phones break. It's me. No phone is safe from me.
But...
I'm talking size. The 6P is too big. Period.
The 5X is a good size. If the base model were 64GB.... I'd still pass.

But you can root and ROM! Yea, great... bring me more problems...

I'm going back to my promise I once made: I will not own a phone without a MicroSD card ever again. I did it once with the 1st Turbo after swearing I wouldn't. No more.
After 4 hard resets in 6 weeks and not losing one mp3 or 1 jpg, this has just reaffirmed my belief in the SD. Yea yea, cloud backup blablabla. After the last reset I didn't do too much setup. And took a short vaca. Lo and behold, messed up crash again>everything safe.


VZW AGAIN wanted to send me a 32GB Turbo. OMG.
Almost did until I verified what they were sending. How do you replace a 64GB T2 with a 32GB T1?!?!? How? HOWWWWW!!!!!!?????

That's just crazy. I don't understand why they don't just replace your Turbo2? Have you thought about an RMA with Motorola? You might have to pay a small fee if you want the replacement shipped to you first. It was worth it for me when my daughter broke her screen. Small amount of $ up front and new custom phone on my door within 72 hours. Then box up the broken one and send it back.

Toni, the sales rep, is bringing in her manager to get approval to ship me a T2 from VZW.
Failing that, I will go back to Moto although they are on my s*** list.
Failing that (which I have no doubt could get done) I will probably just do my damn design refresh and get a phone that way. I wanted to wait at least a year, but heck, the way I move through phones? I will probably have a new one in 6 months.

Worst case scenario I demand an S7 or G5...

/OT Moto Flip Case is nice. Well built. Not nearly as cool as LG's. But it's early yet.

I looked at those flip cases, just can't see the $$ price tag being worth it. And I like a small thin case...or none at all. If VZW gave me one for free, I would try it for a while.

Totes agree, Sajo. That's why I have one to try out. Free is for me.
It's really not bad. I disabled Android Pay for now and turned off my pin code.
This could be an answer for people that hate the Marshmallow swipe to open screen. This totally disables it. Open case > you're ready to go or back in the app you left off on.

Oh, and still no resolution from VZW. An email letting me know she is still working on it earlier. Which means I will miss any next day air service...

My opinion of VZW customer service is falling. Fast.

I'm going to lose my mind.
After assuring me that we would have a resolution yesterday... I'm still waiting.
Today's email from my Cust Service rep:

"I should have a resolution at 12:30 today".
Great! (I WAS being so nice until...)
She writes back a few minutes later:
"Just checking, have we ever replaced the sim card in that phone"
Ok.... I lost my S*** on this one.
The sim card? No. Unacceptable. If you send me a sim card and it happens again??? There's another week down. Now we're 8 WEEKS into trying to fix this issue. NO. I want a replacement phone in the mail today. If you cannot do this, TODAY, tell me and I will contact Motorola. Today.

That's the short version....

/PS I TRULY regret doing MotoMaker.

Come back from lunch... there's a T1 on my desk in a Fedex Box.
VZW calls: I'm sorry but you need to go through Motorola for a warranty replacement. We can only give you a Turbo because the warranty on your T2 is Motorola only.
'You mean like the 32gb Turbo you sent me today?'
You got a Turbo today?
Sigh....

Called Motorola. Replacement on the way...

Wow is right Pere, someone at Verizon needs to be slapped and retrained. That is ridiculous. Hopefully things go smoother dealing with Moto. They were smooth and painless for both of my kids replacement phones.

I just cannot believe no one knew I should have gone straight to Moto. No....they just keep sending T1's. lol
At least I can laugh about it.

Lesson here: If you do Motomaker do NOT call VZW for support.

If it makes you feel any better, I dropped my 6p face down on the sidewalk with no case yesterday. Touch still works, but it's $163 & some change to have HUAWEI repair it.

Yeah. Back glass cracked spontaneously. Just got done sweet dbrand skins, so I didn't wanna cover them up with a case. Once it's repaired, it'll never leave home without one again. Capped off a horrible day.
