Uninstall App2SD?

Hi all,
I ran into a problem with App2SD hanging.
I am on non-rooted Froyo.

A search on the site turned up this post on the Eris forum

i would not advise using a2sd/app2sd as sdcards usually do not like to be partitioned and the life of the card is greatly decreased.

a2sd/app2sd is not the same as Froyo a2sd/app2sd.

So that doesn't sound nice! If this applies to Droid X also then I'd like to uninstall the app market App2SD.

Does anyone know if this partitioning applies to the Droid X too and if uninstalling is sufficient to undo the partitioning?
