Unique alerts for each app? ie: Gmail, texts etc?

I am unsure where I can customize what apps make what alert noises?

For instance I would like to differentiate between gmail, and gosms which currently have the same tone.

You'll usually find those in the settings of the individual apps, not the global notification settings.

Settings
Skip general but go to your email you want changed
Sync & notify
Sound



Default messaging app
Press the 3 buttons
Settings
Notifications
Notification sound


Not sure about the others.

Does anyone know where this would be for Outlook? I couldn't find it. Just to receive sound notifications.

Allow me to piggyback another question: I cannot seem to get the Alert Tone for severe thunderstorm warnings to sound on my S5 (VZW). There have been many issued in the past week for my area (Tampa), but the default notification tone plays, not the alert tone. I have selected Presidential, Extreme and Severe options, as well as play emergency tone, but the default notification ringtone plays, not the emergency alert tone. Any help would be much appreciated.
