Unofficial CCRom Builds!

Sapphire Build 01/07/2011 (2.0.2)

1. Just use the Sapphire 2.0 gapps.
2. Massive changes to framework have been made - my guess is trying to use 2.0 themes on this will fail.
3. Enable power widget in Gem Settings. :)
4. This is Sapphire - thus for Motorola DROID only. Sorry, I only have a Droid, I don't build for other devices.
5. You should be able to come from Sapphire 2.0 without wiping. At least, I have not encountered any showstoppers.
6. Enjoy!

I tried it last night and ran into massive problems. I don't expect most people will have the problems I did. I didn't wipe the cache, but, when I rebooted my phone was unable to find the cell signal at all. I reverted my backup and it's been fine since. I may try again but I'm going to be on vacation this week so I needed a working phone. (One could argue the sanity of upgrading a phone the night before going on vacation but you know how it is... :D) It was very strange. I just wanted to report it in case anyone else sees that issue. For all I know our cell tower went down for a while and it was coincidental timing.

Did you port a theme for your own use with this?

I did do a very limited black bar (just replacing some pngs in drawable-hdpi), I might be able to upload it later today.

Sorry about your issues Samurai. Cell signal seems fine on my end.

Yea, it was really weird. I've never had an issue like that. When I get to the hotel tonight I may try again. I can always restore the backup again if I have to.

I've been known to be flashing ROMs during a vacation...much to my wife's chagrin lol

I'm a bit insane like that. It's funny cause the first thing we do when we get there (this is our annual Disney trip) is set up wifi and break out all the laptops, chargers, etc. THEN we unpack clothes. LOL! So, I should be well covered to try again later.

ROFLMAO! I haven't done it while moving. :D But I just got to my room and my Droid is dead so it needs to charge for a while before I try the upgrade again.

I noticed with this build that the clock is centered on the rotary lockscreen. I'm wondering if anyone knows what I have to to do to get the eri banner centered also?

That's my fault - I do that for my personal use (center the clock and date), and forgot to revert back to the standard code for this build. When cvpcs puts out another release, the clock and date will be back in the old position.

I like it centered. It looks way better that way. I'm just seeing if there's a way to center the eri banner also.

The only way to center that would be a code change and rebuild, I think. There could be a way using smali, but I wouldn't know.
