[ROM] Unofficial CM10/JB ROM Development [09/24 DATAFIX]

OH, and I have something interesting to report. I flashed the Android 4.2 camera (found a link on droid-life.com) and it works great! The flash works, no crashes (so far). Just thought others mike like the tip.

I flashed that but my flash for the camera still doesn't work :(

I noticed on 10/23 that the Shift . and , keys are mismapped. Instead of getting ; and : i'm getting < and > like on a PC keyboard.

Go to System settings
Go to Language & input
Under Physical Keyboard you wanna look at mapphone-switch and omap4-keypad
Both of them should say default
You may have selected English (US) which changed those symbols

Is this what you're talking about? Download: Camera APK From Android 4.2 For Galaxy Nexus [Photo Sphere Included] – Droid Life

It says it's only for the Galaxy Nexus so I'm not sure if that's what you were talking about. If not, could you give me the link?

I have also noticed my battery is pretty pathetic compared to running stock ICS. Any tips to improve it?

I believe that is what he was talking about and it works great and improves the camera overall, but the flash still isn't working for me.

Ok thanks! The flash unfortunately still does not work for me either. :( But the camera is indeed better, I think. Not sure if it's my imagination but the picture quality or lighting or something seems to be better with it... but could just be imagining things. :P Also, I figured out how to get the shift key to work in Chrome. I have to press the key I want to be capitalized (or that has an alternate symbol) while still holding the shift key (like on a regular keyboard).

This is what I'm talking about. I flashed it on my D4 (of course, made a backup first!). It is true that the new picture mode doesn't work on the D4. However, I have found that the normal camera stuff is working great, and my camera flash is also working. So its way better than what's in CM10 right now.

I haven't ran stock ICS, but battery really sucks.

Has anybody played with this? I'm planning on flashing tonight.
I have. I haven't really noticed much in the way of improvements (but that doesn't mean there aren't any.) Battery still is not very good and the camera flash still doesn't work. Oh, also, I've noticed that my keyboard light doesn't work eithe,. but it didn't work with whatever the version was before the 11/01 version. so, as far as what I can see it's not much different. Although, my data bars are working after unchecking the GSM fix thing. Before they'd be really low or non-existent.

Keyboard light should work with auto-brightness enabled.
If you modify the custom light levels, it's pretty good. Don't really need 100% brightness on the keyboard in daylight.

I loaded 11/1 last night. I don't know about the battery drain yet, but it seems a lot snappier.

Ii did reproduce the issue with the Nexus 4.2 camera app getting a FC from the gallery. I got the problem when I switched to front facing camera. Clearing the app data fixed it. I still think its better than the camera that comes with CM10.
