i tried downloading odin from a few sites and all i got was crap on my computer.. i spent more time fixing my computer then on my phone

No. Not what is being said at all. Look up how to use odin and follow the instructions. Its pretty simple. You can flash back to stock. After youre stock you can easily take the update
