Update for liberty???

Not trying to rush it, but is there an update coming anytime soon. Kinda want to flash something. Lol

I feel ya guys, getting antsy here as well, but with the official build coming soon for the liberty team to get ready for us, working off of the leaks is kind of a waste of time, why put in hours and hours (and hours) of work for something that could literally be thrown away tomorrow?

Be patient my friends, we will not be left hanging.

Plus JRummy has been studying for finals and apparently moving. I'm sure we will see updates this week sometime.

no ones really released any new updates for DX GB roms lately. theyre all waiting for the official GB ota i believe. besides its a donation, not a subscription.

Actually, it is a subscription. This is what you will see when you go to the Android Market and search for the Liberty Toolbox("Donate" edition):

Liberty Gingerbread Nightlies are now live!! To get the nightly go into Rom Manager and click on the "Nightlies" button. Wifi is suggested. First boot will take some time, so be patient. You aren't boot looping. Enjoy the Liberty Gingerbread awesomeness and more is coming soon ;)

Notice how it says that the Nightlies are now live? Would it be wrong of us to just "assume"(as I'm guessing some will call it) that Nightlies actually means, nightly?

You see, he is offering a service, not a way to donate. He separated the two programs very distinctly in 2 ways: Money, and the Nightlies. The money would only be a donation if he kept the programs identical, but what he is doing is offering a service. The Nightlies part of the Donation Toolbox turns the whole "donation" aspect on it's head, and to tell you(JRummy, Team Liberty) the truth, it's pretty despicable how you are treating us like fools.

All of this would mean nothing if JRummy would actually make a statement(not a "tweet" or "wall posting", a statement here at his headquarters) saying that the Nightlies will actually begin at what ever date he feels he will be able to fulfill his promise at.

I'm not particularly mad, as my phone is wonderful, or do i want my money back. In fact, I encourage him to not give /any/ of it back as I feel his time is worth it. What I do feel though, is that he should at least come through with his promise.

:) Thanks.

PS. When I refer to JRummy I am also referring to the Team Liberty as a whole.

Gotta say I agree with ya. No animosity towards the team or anything and goodness knows I'm not trying to be a troll chanting "where's da romz" or anything, I just think its kinda wrong to offer "nightlies" that frankly aren't nightly builds. I'm glad I donated and I really do love this project, but jrummy, maybe nightlies was a bit too ambitious? Maybe update the toolbox with that section renamed "latest" or more appropriatly "experimental"? Thanks!

I've gotta say this is kind of ridiculous to hear what everyone is saying in this thread.
jrummy and his team have done so much to save my phone i couldn't imagine basically demanding a brand new rom every week.
roms take time, lots of time, and for jrummy to waste hours on this weeks leak only to have to start from scratch next week seems like a waste if his resources.

im sure once the official ota is released we will see much more frequent updates. but I would be fine if they weren't

If you read my post, you would have the realization that I am in agreeance with you. All I'm saying, is that he did actually make the promise of Nightly ROM's, in fact he charged people for it. I didn't pay only for the Nightlies, as I know Liberty's past release times are slow. But maybe, just maybe, there is that one person who purchased this for a Nightly released beta(Alpha, whatever you wish to call it).

I didn't post that to start a lawsuit or anything, I just posted it so maybe the team and the community would see it for what it really is. What is it? It's an un-fulfilled promise, one that I'm surprisingly not even angry about.

Why aren't I angry? Because the ROM is great, and I can't say I have seen a bug, even Netflix works flawlessly. Next time, just try to read my entire post.

:) Thanks.

u make a great point.

the way I see it tho is that these nightlies are basically early releases for ppl who donate, since it is also made clear that once the full version (aka the one for the OTA GB) is created it'll be eventually released to the public for free.

to each his own however. :]
