Update for liberty???

lol...you give people what they want for months. Great ROM after great solid ROM. The second you take the spoon out of their mouth (mind you, under a completely logical circumstance) they cry about it.

First things first, the word "nightlie" does not imply nor obligate the person(s) creating them to an "every night" output. It is a term used for patches or code rolled out on off hours. If they happen to occur on a every-night basis...awesome...but it is NOT obligated.

Second things second, do most of you know what the word "donate" means? Here, let me help:

Donate;
Verb;
- to present as a gift, grant, or contribution.

You are not rendering payment here folks! You are donating to the project because you want to see it go further and offer the devs incentive to make things better. You do not write their schedule, issue them a paycheck or define their deadlines and thereby you lose the right to EXPECT instant compensation.

If you signed up for "nightlies" after they stopped being so regular, then maybe you should have taken the time to do the research and realized that this is simply a lull prior to the OTA. Personally, that just seemed kind of logical to me, but I have noticed that virtue, logic, defies many people's grasps.

All that being said I have been running liberty for a long time and maybe it's just that I am a patient person or maybe it's that I know how to read, but I have always found that the next thing they release is always something well worth the time spent waiting.

To the Dev Team: Keep up the great work.

To the complainers and trolls: Either develop your own ROMs or enjoy things as they come because complaining on the forums isn't doing anyone any good.

Information is available if you search for it. In another thread, I stated that we were halting development since the OTA was supposedly imminent based on the information from P3 (which people value as reliable in relation to Moto leaks).

As for it being nightlies, when we implemented that feature in the donation toolbox, guess what? It was pretty accurate. If you are just donating to jrummy now, well then yes, you aren't seeing a 'nightly' update.

Why is that? Refer to first statement. We decided that continuing to develop on the leak builds when the OTA was around the corner was a waste of time. Add on the fact that jrummy had finals and had to move out of his current location.

So, I'll take the high road and apologize that the button still says what it says. It was most heinous of us to not push out an update that changed the text to something more proper like 'HALTED FOR OTA' or to that degree. We'll try to be more on top of that in the future.

As for the OP, as soon as you hear of the OTA going out from VZW, you'll most likely see new versions to flash via the (currently stagnant) nightlies section.

Thank you for giving us an update. I was unaware that the project had been halted. Came from liberty 1.0 -> 2.0.1 -> LGB v.1 thru every update to v.5. I appreciate all of the work put into this project. But It is nice to here something official about what's going on every now and then. I mean, I think the official thread is still named after v.4. And. I haven't heard anything in the toolbox sticky either. But maybe I missed some post.. that's rather likely actually.

Anyway, I appreciate hearing from the team. Thank you for your responses. Since im having such difficulties I may try out something like this "rombiestomped" rom. But you best believe ill be back when the next update or FULL version (?!) of LGB comes out.

wow.. u donated $5 to a guy that has been giving us free **** forever.. I paid that just for the ease of upgrading from stock froyo to 0.5 liberty gb. i see your point about how he advertises it but you didn't donate blood or bone marrow. chillax.
