What does updating this do? I'm not sure that the Preferred rpaming list version is/does. More roaming, less roaming?

Just got the update this morning, didn't do *228. My PRL # is 51638

I updated PRL after the software update and my PRL is now 51716

Previous was 51638.

I'm in Los Angeles.

It is recommended to do this every month to stay up to date.

Doesn't mean they will necessarily change every month but they do change them.

i never understood why they just don't force it to your phone. i'd be wiling to bet maybe 10% of subscribers actually do this.

They have pushed out hybrids to the Alltell (now VZW) customers I heard.

So they can do it.

Because, I think you are supposed to updated that based on your location. So you're supposed to updated it every time you travel to new location.

my prl is the same as OP. i'm in cinci, oh.

I noticed my signal was worse after the update and updated my PRL this morning, much better.
