[Updated] Samsung Galaxy Nexus full specs revealed; Verizon Wireless exclusive

This phone is very attractive, it will be kind of funny to attach a Phonblat into your ear to talk but it is darn sexy, starting to feel good about passing on the bionic :)

I think you will be presently surprised on the size of this phone as compared to the bionic/vigor or any other 4" pr 4.3" device. I don't say that from any actual knowledge, I just don't think they would let a Nexus phone hit the market if it was absurdly sized (they would have gone with a 4.3" if they couldn't make the 4.65" work and look sexy at the same time).

I really think that for a screen to look bigger to a consumer, it will need to be wider and my guess is that a majority of the increased diagonal area will come in the form of length, not width. But of course the increase will have to be proportional to maintain aspect ratio.

The omap being friendly with LTE is something I won't be upset over... and it looks like it'll be faster than the bionic (which didn't that already get good performance reviews?). Forget the week after its announced I want it released the DAY after its announced.

I can tell ya the Bionic is way fast with the 4430 and has unreal battery life (plugged it in this morning and my stats were: 1d 9h 32s). So if it's the 4460 and bumped up a bit, it should be great!

Also, with the buttons being on screen the actual real estate can be the same overall size of a phone with a 4.3 inch display. My Bionic measures 5 inches by 2 1/4 and 5 1/2 diagonal. I think they could get close to that.

i surely hope the softkey are removed to make the screen bigger and not physically make the phone bigger to get the 4.65" size. we'll have to see.

Ooooh I'm getting all giggity. Can't wait to hear more on the 11th. Those complaining about the camera, megapixels don't mean squat. Just look at all the iPhone's cameras. Some of the best in the game that produce amazing pictures, and all with less megapixels than the competition. 5mp is more than enough, provided it's a good quality camera. With 5mp you can get decent image quality at 8x10". Who would want anything bigger than that, and from a cell phone? Are you really going to print out a pic from a cell phone and hang it on your wall? I sure wouldn't. That's what my $6k DSLR equipment is for.

Yeah it's possible. The guy who sits next to me in accounting has a samsung infuse. That phone is literally the same size as the bionic (same dimensions) except with a larger screen and less bezel.

Keeping in mind that is a 4.5" screen with capacitive buttons...

So it could definitely be done with a 4.65 inch screen without them...but from the "leaked images" we saw, it's still going to have a decent sized bezel at the bottom.

Okay, after doing a little math I have come up with what I think is a descent comparison to the Samsung infuse Ark was talking about (and I think is a good size) and the results actually surprised me:

I didn't know this, but the infuse has a 480×800 or 5:3 screen. The Nexus should have a 720x1280 or 16:9 screen. Skipping the math (unless anyone wants to see it) the change in aspect ratio actually means that the Nexus screen will be 0.0497" or 1.264 mm narrower than the infuse and 0.1704" or 4.32816 mm longer than the infuse.

Oh I just got a thunderbolt for now and I been waiting for a phone like this :O Love the screen size and res. Camera should be fine as long as it has good parts cause iphone 4s camera looks like it will be amazing.

I don't know that I trust that leak: I have a habit of ignoring things that go against what I want... as in "I reject your reality and substitute my own."

So I went ahead and built a little excel to do the math for me and all you have to type in is the diagonal and screen resolution and you should be able to get a size comparison. The nexus screen should be .17" (4.4mm) wider and 0.3" (7.75mm) longer than the Droid Bionic.

And the confusion continues... "The BGR Samsung Prime specs are bogus. The specs of the real Samsung Prime will be almost the same as the specs of the recently released Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE Display: 4.65-inch HD(1280x720) Super AMOLED Camera: 8 megapixel (flash)/2 megapixel on the front Battery: 1850 mAh Value added features: 1.5GHz dual core AP, embedded 16GB memory, Bluetooth 3.0 HS, WiFi a/b/g/n" https://plus.google.com/106493827472880328627/posts/eXXc6W3s91f
