upgrade to Froyo

My Milestone 2.01 has got a recent upgrade.Is there a way to get it further upgraded to Froyo without any complicate procedures as I am not a specialist or expert in computer matters.I happened to see in the net that somebdy upgraded thei droid 2.12 to Froyo with certain applications.Will anybody please help me in this matter?

auto upgrade

with phone on: push menu button. hit settings. hit about phone. hit system update. it will search for update and prompt to install if avaliable for ur phone. Some are not yet ready. Droid X was released just recently.

2.12 upgradation to FROYO

Thank you mizliplix.But the thing you suggested had already been tried by me several times.Each time a message appears saying your phonr is updated.Now what we can do?

Anything but ota updates (outlined by previous post) require some risk of breaking your device... Which I personally put in the complicated column for non techy people. The steps for your device will vary, but it starts with taking root control.

2.2 opinion

pnsdhrn: I only used 2.1 a short time before OTA upgrading to 2.2 on my "X".....But after the upgrade my "X" seems to freeze up at different times and requires the battery to be removed, (Something it didnt do under 2.1). I kinda wish I had waited a while before upgrading. It is as though 2.2 needs a little tweaking still...

2.3.15 OTA seems a bit more laggy on my DX than 2.1 did
I did a clean install
