USB port question

Can I watch a movie from my droid X with my usb port cable? I have a usb port slot on the tv itself. I can also view my pics from the Tv but I can't get the video to upload yet. Maybe it has to be in a certain mode like USB mass storage I don't know. Anyone have any luck?

I was considering to buy the Hdmi cable if need be but why buy it if the USB cable works.

Having the same port on both ends isn't the only requirement. I can't say for certain as I'm not that familiar with the Droid X but I doubt it. Mass storage mode isn't relevant -- that's only for accessing your SD card.
