Get on gb! The bugs are not that bad really. Minimal at best. Its a stable, fast and highly customizable rom

Droid 2 Liberty GB v0.8

I am having trouble getting .8 on my phone. I currently have Liberty gb .7 . I have tried to factory reset my phone but the phone just resets and goes to the screen with the liberty fist and does nothing. I have tried using Droid X Bootstrapper and using the directions in this forum to get it into clockwork. I can not figure it out. Could someone please help me? Thanks

Every time i charge phone when i disconnect it and turn on it goes to clockwork have to hit reboot then it is fine anyone else have this issue,also have the sticky note issue it seems to keep loading can't use it.

Do not use the droid X bootstrap, it doesn't work in 2.3.3. Use the droid 2 bootstrap (yes, you'll have to pay again to get it), and strap your recovery and reboot, you'll be in clockwork then. Also turn off USB debugging.

This is common, it's not really an issue, it happens on almost every Droid I have touched, mine did it as well on 2.0.1.

I check the reboot in safe mode in Liberty settings to purposely boot into clockwork, just to be safe. That box may be checked on your phone. Check it out

So, just installed .8, and I noticed the settings menu on the stock email application (using it for corporate right now) has some issues. The refresh button is a big green speaker icon, and the icons are missing for Compose and Accounts. I can get screenshot, and logs, whatever you need if it hasn't already been looked at. I didn't read through the entire thread to look if it has been reported before.

My appologies if this has already been addressed in this thread, 20 pages is a lot to sort through.

First, givening credit where credit is due. JRummy and the Entire Liberty teams, and all you masterful theme artist....especially Mobiel Sensei! Thank you for you hard work and dedication for make the DX and many other deivces truly free and amazingly better than the big guys can.

A few items that I have encountered. I've done a complete wipe off all data caches, a fresh install three different times with same results, and 3 different downloads.
1) ASOP Alarm clock. Love the mp3 option, but v0.8 build does not see to link to the correct location. Meaning, when I select MP3 it opens up the phone notification sound options, instead of my music same goes for ringtone option.
2) The calculator only allows me to add, no subtraction of other functions.
3) Unable to find the lock screen music controls.
4) Not all systems apps install, having to go into the .zip and install apps like Talk. This happened 3 different times.
5) Unable to get a custom short cut to turn on\off Torch. Wondering if there can be a way to add this feature turn on\off via power button when phone is locked?
6) Each time I flash a new nightlie build, my ringers options grow by one choice. Meaning, when I select to change my ringtone, i have multiple of each ringtone to choose from....Example

For me, v.06 was running the best. Great battery life...everything seemed to worked great. I just may need to go back, but I'm always one for the latest and greatest.

Did you wipe data (factory reset), data cache, and dalvik cache each time?

1) It sounds like you might have selected the wrong option the first time you setup a ringtone or notification. I know when I go to select a notification sound, it asks me where I would like to look, Default or System or Music. There is also a check box to always remember this selection. I am not sure how to uncheck the remember...

2) I noticed that my calculator is missing the subtraction sign, but it still let's me subtract. All other functions work. You might want to try clearing data or cache for the calculator app.

3) Lockscreen music controls are not on v0.8. I think they are working on getting them back.

4) Not sure on this one, all my system apps are always there after a new flash.

5) Not sure exactly what you are saying, are you talking about the app Torch? LED flashlight? If so try another LED flashlight.

6) Not sure on this one either, never seen this error before.

After reading my responses, it doesn't appear I offered many solutions, hopefully this will provide you with a bump and someone else will chime in.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, I did a complete wipe each time just to be sure that I didn't miss anything. I'll take a look to see if I can find a check mark about the ringtone location, but never had to worry about that before. Its strange that I each time I flash a New Nightlie build, My ring tones multiply by 1, I'm gonna try and take a screenshot and post it. by one, especially if no one else if reporting the same issues. I did think that the calculator was just missing the graphics, so I tried using it, but it would not calculate anything for me. I've though about asking a a known clean download of vs 8, but not sure how the dev team would respond to that......

My ringtones have doubled as well. I just flashed the sensei audio mod. Thought it would help but no. At least I have some cool new tones though!

Ya know I tried this also, but I had to restore a backup about 2 days later. For some reason, everything started running really bad. I started getting a lot of random FC's. Maybe its just me...... I usually have no issues with any of Sensei's mods, but for some reason this one just boinked my DX. Anyone else?

Thx Dream. I did run through this thread prior to posting. I didn't see any of the issues I am experiencing, so I thought it best to add a few. Did I miss something else? I don't want to be that guy!!!

I liked liberty 08, but I had a few bugs I didn't care for.

1. would not recognize when placed in the home cradle.
2. If I changed he wallpaper it would stay, as long as I didn't change anything else with the liberty toolbox. When I did, it reset the wallpaper back to what it was initially set to with the room.
3. Quite a few reboots.
4. Did not see any change when animations changed.

I did refresh cache and factory reset (three times) The rom loaded with out incident, but had a little trouble with the customizer.

Not a big fan of gold, look forward to testing it out again.

reboots randomly every now-and-then

and asop 3d gallery still messes up. click to go in and its blank. back out and re-enter then it works. still also cant send a pic after taking a picture.
