[v0.8+] Liberty Bug Reports

If your phone doesn't make it past the initial boot logo, then it doesn't have what it needs to get into stock recovery. I don't mean to sound hopeless but I've been there and tried absolutely everything to get my phone back, to no avail. If anyone finds out how to fix this without SBFing please let us all in on it. But a fix for that is really unlikely because as I said, if your phone isn't getting past the boot logo, it's not getting far enough to get into recovery. A dire situation to be sure but one that you can clean right up with an SBF and a delicious cup of coffee :-)

Regarding stock recovery, isn't the button combo on gb different than it was on froyo? I could have sworn it was (but im on a d2 now, my dx is out of the picture). You may not be "toast". Keep trying!

Droid 2 Liberty GB v0.9

It is different, but method above is correct (I believe). With Froyo you had to push the search button at the exclamation mark, GB is the volume buttons.

Ya, I was toast... haha. It was actually a good thing imo, because I've never had to sbf before and this forced me to learn how to do it. I've never had issues like thus with upgrading Liberty and i don't understand what could have gone wrong. But its all good now and i love having liberty so ill be trying it again when I get home! Sbf isn't hard, as it turns out anyway! Sent from my current Froyo phone, hehe. Thanks for ya'lls help!

Blessing in disguise then. I always tell people to learn sbf before flashing any roms. It saves a lot of freak out time. Glad you're up and running again

Maybe this is more of a feature request then a bug but I have a 2300mAh battery and liberty v0.8 does not appear to support it's full capacity. I'm assuming the ROM is configured to only support up to the official extend battery of 1840 mAh. Is there any way this could be adjusted to accommodate lager battery capacities?

Try charging your battery to 100% then go into recovery and wipe battery stats.

Just put v.9 on my droid x. A few issues... I can't change the wallpaper and some apps are suddenly force closing. Also what happened to all the good things I noticed on regular gingerbread? The app sorting it the apps page, the profiles, the pretty UI?

Did you go from 0.7 to 0.9? If so, keep in mind that you have to do a data wipe/factory reset to keep from having major problems.

Stock GB uses Blur. We the people of the ROM world strip as much Blur out as possible because it's bulky and slow. But you can stick with it if you'd like. :-)

Also having a problem with the blur Corporate Sync not syncing calendars with either the Blur calendar or the standard calendar. Anyone else seen this problem?

Overall love the rom!

Thanks guys!dancedroid

I just flashed this ROM the other day and I must say it is pretty sweet. I like being able to add the parts of Blur back that I wanted. That said, I too am having the same issue with calendars. First it was just my Corporate Sync calendars. Today, I noticed the calendars for my Google accounts are not showing up either. So I if I go to Calendar for either Blur Calendar or AOSP Calendar, I do not see any other calendar listed aside from Phone Storage calendar.

Any help is appreciated. My work calendar is a big reason for me to use my phone.

thanks,

I've done something like that before but maybe my battery wasn't really charged to 100%. I did what you said after I left it charging all night. I'll see how it goes.

I did do a data/cache wipe but through the nightlies options so do you think I should have done it again after install? This is my girlfriends droid x so its her saying "what happened to the pretty blue? I hate this ugly yellow" lol. So Im just waiting for a pink theme or something to please her feminine tastes. Still trying to figure out the wallpaper thing. I'm wondering, from my iPhone knowledge, if it's a permissions issue. It let's her go to the option then select one but it doesn't actually change. Thanks for the help

I'm not sure you can get pink, but you definitely can get the blue back. Or green, if you'd like. There are several themes here for 0.8+ (0.8 themes work w/ 0.9.) I personally use the green version of this one:
