"Gmail update failed" "installation failed-Package file not signed correctly"

What does this mean? Theres an update to gmail on the market. Not that it matters to me. This update doesn't have anything I'm interested in. But just wanted to know.

That means there is a conflict with the custom rom and certain market apps which would be considered a bug that the devs need to address.. Only way I could get the update to work was uninstall my current version download the new update .apk from an outside source to my SD card then reboot then install Im finding a few apps are like this but mostly seems like system apps..

ok so im having a few issues:

1. Facebook will not install from customizer when adding accounts , i dont want to use the face book app, rather use the blur widget.

2. Blur widgets dont really work.

3. Can not get blur home to install.

Other than that this ROM is sweet , are there themes? I would like to de-yellow my phone.

I apologize if these problems have been solved elsewhere, i dont have the time to look through 30+ pages. Thanks to everyone in advance. Keep up the awesome work, you guys rock

These are all known issues that liberty devs still need to address .. I use dropbox as a work around for mms issue and seesmic for networking and custom short cuts for quick contact tasks... As far as a theme look for Gingercomb Juiced its awesome!!!

Posted in tech issues also but I think it may be a bug with the rom. Google Sky Map was running fine on rooted froyo but now it seems to be scanning in reverse when I go from side to side and is disoriented in other areas also. I'm running Liberty 0.9 but this started during the previous updates but I can't pinpoint exactly when. Anyone else having the same issues. Any help would be appreciated. Lovin' Liberty but wish I could get Sky working properly.

It is Google Sky not playing well with GB I believe. It is not a Liberty GB issue. Mine does the same thing. Works a little better in landscape but still buggy. Lots of posts regarding this issue. Hope they come out with a fix soon, but doubt they will.

im having a few issues also, my 3g goes off and on sometimes and also my WiFi loses connection and my Gmail and voice search will not update it keeps saying package file not signed correctly. can anyone help? if so email me on rrosander05 @gmail thank you!

I am booting into clockworkmod recovery every time I reboot on .9. Sort of a pain, but it helps me keep track of my random reboots.

Potentially a problem if your phone reboots in the middle of the night and you rely on the alarm clock to wake you.... Now what??

Ok, after numerous manual reboots into clockworkmod recovery, I was able to fix this. I installed the D2 bootstrapper. Selected Reboot Recovery and then rebooted. I booted into recovery. Rebooted, and now I boot straight into Liberty .9. I seem to recall having this problem when I put the first GB leak on a while ago. I hope this works for you!
I've reboot 7 times now and I go straight into Liberty.

Yeah, I'm running it. I didn't do anything.... Was on rooted 596 then last night did SBF back, re rooted, 2 part Tbh to 596 and then directly to .9. used Titanium to restore some apps. Went to sleep. Woke up. When I pulled up market, it was the new market. No idea how it happened.
