Verizon 4G Outage Nationwide

Last Result:
Download Speed: 2613 kbps (326.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 963 kbps (120.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

That's my 4G right now.

I dont use the speedtest app, as i heard it was majorly flawed..

browsed to speakeasy.net/speedtest

im getting 27mbps down // 4mbps up

these are the best results ive seen so far.

After root, I redownloaded this app & they seem to have fixed this issue.

Ran like 10 tests & all stayed in the normal below 10mbps for upload range, download avg. 20-30mbps which stayed the same as before.

In stl and my data just went down. No sms on 3 or 4g. I wonder if they are deploying a patch...

I think my 4G is having super powers right now in the Phoenix area. I've had no issues today either.

22.67mbps down, 2.80mbps up on the speakeasy.net one.

I dunno about ne one else but since this 4g outtage my battery has been better even after the 4G returned

Last night I went to our local store to get the Thunderbolt and the network went down company-wide. The rep calls us this morning and tells us they are back up and he has the phone set aside for me. So we go back to the store this evening and are told that the 4G towers are down and they can't activate the phone. They sold one earlier and the lady lost use of both her phones. I think the gods are telling me I can't have one and I need to stick with my original Droid.

That doesn't make sense. Why couldn't they activate the phone just because 4G was down?
I know. And we don't even have 4G in the area. But I could have gotten a different phone and the activation would have worked. It was something specific to the 4G aspect of the Thunderbolt. The way DH and I understood was it activates differently.

I really do hope they get this fixed soon. I drive around today and some areas(towers) had excellent LTE the whole time while others would switch between other radios and drop all together. It's like the phone can't establish and maintain a steady connection with the network. I really hope they get this fixed soon.
