I just called Verizon since I purchased the Maxx last week, and the lady I spoke to told me that the 40 dollar discount would fall under there one month price match!
So she credited my account the 40!

As soon as read this post I had my old lady call Verizon and they credited my account on the spot.

Did you call today? This promo just started today... there were others for $40 off that just ended recently.

Costco's my new favorite place! But, even so, I bet they won't let me upgrade to a Maxx since my phone's only about 6 months old. Too bad I don't have FoxKat's clout!

Correct, you will not be able to get the phone, as we only do new lines of service or upgrades with a new 2yr agreement.

Yeah, I called yesterday on Friday. She had no idea what I was talking about. She had to look it up.

I called Verizon twice and the first person said I had to take my receipt to a store to get the $40 credit. That's like going out on black friday here in ohio. Then I called again and the woman put me on hold like 4 times so she could speak with her supervisor. They told me that they could not do it. It could only be done through amazon or firefly and that offer expired the 24th. I continued to push the issue as nicely as I could and it was a no.

I got my Maxx for free by upgrading a 3G line that wasnt due until Nov and they waived the $30 fee. Not sure if this promotion is every where but I am in the Chattanooga Tennessee area.

The trick with VZW is keep calling until you get what you want =)
