Verizon Disposes Of 8,500 Customers For Using Too Much Data

if they are roaming on other network than there must be another service they can use, as someone owns whatever wireless they have been getting, So i would think at least they do have another option,

Good point. However it might be the case that overall coverage is so spotty that those people are on multiple networks between home, work and normal roaming about their community.

But, then, outside the home how much data can people really be using? I'm wondering if most of these people aren't actually college students....

I think that is exactly the case. also don't forget, if coverage is so spotty, even normal, everyday phone calls had roaming charges, which can add up.
