Madden NFL 12 is currently (9/30/2011) $6.99 in the V Cast AppStore , and/or there is a $2.99 monthly subscription fee.

and/or which is it?

Difficult to tell from the V Cast AppStore listing. If my unrooted phone could do screenshots, I'd post a screenshot. Maybe later today, when I get to my computer...

It depends. If you want to "subscribe" to the app for a month, it is $2.99/month

If you want to buy the app outright for a one-time fee, it is $6.99

Think of it as renting an Xbox game vs. buying the same game - if you think you're gonna play it for more than a month, it's probably worth the one-time purchase price.

Supposedly the droid pro is supported, but when I caalled I got a link which in turn told me my device is not supported.
Wonder if that is because I am on CM7. (And before that on GB)
Bummer

Did you not read the article? The promotion begins October 1st

How legit is this though?

Sent from someplace, and with something that you need not worry about.

Very. Look at the source page. Usually, people question things like this when they don't read the full article and go by the title of the thread.

I have a feeling it will work with bionic. I tried calling with mine now and it just said I called to early and sent me a text message for when to call .. we'll see..

There is no monthly subscription, its EITHER/OR.
You can pay 6.99 (or nothing right now) once or 2.99 a month.

Well thanks for clearing that up for me, now I'm a happy camper again :)

Part of me feels that Verizon wouldn't feel obligated to give away software if they hadn't had so many OTA issues for several of their smartphones. It seems like they might be trying to make concessions here for screwing over so many of their customers. At the same time, EA could be paying them something for the free exposure, while Verizon also drives traffic into their AppStore.

Or perhaps I'm just being cynical since my D1 isn't on the supported list (even though I'm aware that it probably wouldn't run well). Meh.
