Verizon just pushed ICS 6.16.217 to my Droid 4

Austin, TX here. The download took 2.5 hours because I was not on WiFI but it's official, Verizon updated my phone to ICS 6.16.217. I had to reboot before the install would start and then it took about 20-30 minutes for the install to complete.

I'm a happy camper

Post a screen shot of your system settings "about phone" making sure baseband and kernel versions are displayed.

Press Volume - and Power at the same time to snap a picture.

No, I wasn't part of any test. My phone just started getting the download at 11am today.

Interesting that you got it without being part of the soak test. If true, this has gone a lot more smoothly then the Razr update where they had an update notification saying an update is coming soon and then it came the following week, and Razr owners went from joy to sadness to joy over those few days. For us they said nothing and are updating us.

So jealous XD. How is it in comparison to the leak?

Since it is exactly the same as the .217 leak it should compare favorably :)

.217 pulled from Motorola via cheesecake is the same as .217 being pushed OTA. For it to be a different build it would have to have a different number (6.16.218 or higher.....6.16.217 was already built).

Cool, thanks for helping out the noob. Motorola is so much more difficult than the samsung I'm used to lol
