It looks like Verizon just added some extra value to some of their prepaid plans. They increased the base data rates without increasing the costs at all. Here's a quote with the details,

"When you sign up for a prepaid plan and activate a smartphone, you’ll get 2 gigabytes of data for $45 or 5 gigabytes of data for $60. If you enroll in Auto Pay, you’ll receive another extra gig for a total of 3 gigabytes of data for the $45 plan and 6 gigabytes of data for the $60 plan every month. Auto Pay gives you the benefit of staying connected with automatic monthly payments to prevent any service interruption.

Verizon’s monthly prepaid smartphone plans all include Unlimited Talk & Text in the U.S., plus texting to Canada and Mexico, with no annual contract, no credit checks and no strings attached."

It looks like Big Red was happy enough with their sales from last year that they decided to pour a few more on the fire.

Hmm. That would save me $50 a month. Wonder if my corp discount still works with prepaid?

I'm sure my $20/month extra per unlimited data plan is helping subsidize this. Corporate socialism at its finest! Thanks Big Red.

What is the difference between postpaid and prepaid? I can't find any on their site. Both offer unlimited calling/texting.
