Verizon Wireless preparing systems for 4G devices

I would. They aren't even producing Incredible anymore.

They are going to still produce the incredible...

I could have sworn I read on this forum that they were stopping production on the Eris and Incredible?

It's just a SKU change. They are changing the box and preinstalling a 2GB SD card. I have a hard time believing that you didn't see the multiple stories about this on the front page of the site.

Well, ya busted me. I did see all the articles but chose to ignore them and post misinformation.

Seriously???

I would get happy about this news if only 4g didn't mean the end of UNLIMITED Data plans on Verizon!

I thought 4g was going to be tiered by speed and not data caps?

I'm not sure if Verizon will be the same as sprint but I went through some sprint training recently and what data plans were limited through 3g will become unlimtited with 4g because of the capabilities of the new network.

you are certainly stronger-willed than many of us dancedroid

Luckily I've got two upgrades to throw away until I'm eligible on July 13th 2011, so Droid X for me today, 4G sometime later this year. :D

I have no problem with 3g, the speed I get is fine, even for web browsing.
Except maps, they take too long to load on 3g, other than that though.
If they still have 3g, and lower the price of it, i'll stay with it.
