Well, let's hope that who ever sold this was just a seasonal employee working for some extra holiday cash. So his/her being fired won't hurt them much.

And on a side note it was a jerk move by the the person who bought the phone to then post the receipt like they did.

since all the info for that sale is on the receipt, i'd guess whoever sold that phone is canned. VZW will be not happy that one of their phones was sold and considering the employee had to manually enter the info into the system to make the sale happen, they should have realized that something was up and called a manager over to see why the sku wasn't coming up in the system.

as much as it sucks for this employee, they're probably fired, and it wont be hard to Best Buy to determine who the employee is.

This is what I love about these stores!

You can always try to "weasel" your way into stuff. It's how I used to get games early and what not. Just went in asked them about it if you're lucky they'll check in the back and bring it out. :icon_ lala:

There are lots of reasons the employee would get in trouble for this.. they didn't ring out the proper sku clearly on purpose.. also there is no contract renewal sku attached to the phone... This employee did not do this "in ignorance" in fact they did it this way to avoid getting caught and the person whom they sold the phone too just threw them under the bus.. wether knowingly or not...
