Verizon's Motorola Droid DOES include MultiTouch and Pinch & Zoom

Yeah 2 months sucks, but at least it should come out with some of the fixes that our phone might have problems with on launch date.

So, there is a new version of the droid coming out before June 2010? Thats how the storm owners got burned the first time. Anyone know?

LMAO!!!

Let me blow your minds with THIS!!!

Press and hold desktop background. Set new wallpaper. When you are selecting the crop, try to pinch and zoom to select a larger or smaller area!!!!

Hope I'm first on this!!!

I'm sorry... but I have to burst your bubble. That isn't pinch zoom or multitouch. All you have to do is put 1 finger on any side of the picture and move it up/down or left/right... same effect :(

You had me going for a sec too

wow; this made my night! I wonder why picsay is the only app taking advantage of this capability? why not Android 2.0 in general??? (is it because of Apple like someone else mentioned?)

Lol that's why the photos were going crazy on me everytime I did pinch and zoom!

New2u... didn't find any info on this apps to the SD card thing. So there is 512MB but 256 was used for apps and 256 for app ram. Are you saying that we can recover that 256MB RAM that is used for apps to be used by apps for app memory by putting apps on the SD card? Or is it just that you will be able to ALSO put apps on SD card?

I am actually quite shocked that it was NOT like that. The only good reason not to store apps on the SD card is that it's removable.. so that if you have apps on the home screens... or in the app drawer.. and the SD card is not there.. it can cause a problem. But.. frankly, when it starts up, OR when you try to run an app that points to the SD card and the path is no longer viable, it should simply flash the app, or pop up a dialog or something that indicates the app is unavailable.

Is there a browser that can be installed that supports the multi-touch?

I'm confused. Picsay allows pinch and zoom for photos. That's it? No way to get that picsay to work in browser form so that you can pinch and zoom everywhere or do we figure someone will make an app very soon for that if picsay can make one? Sherry

I've downloaded and installed Picsay... Though it is Multi Touch.. It is by no means EVEN Close to the pinch to zoom you might be used to from the iPhone... I sure do hope Android gets an innate pinch to zoom on their browser.. cause if its remotely similar to picsay I'll feel let down.

I think the pinch and zoom is only available on the european models.
