Visual Voicemail Bluetooth

Weird...
I had resigned myself to not hearing my voicemails via Visual Voicemail on my Motorola H12 BT headset.

In my car I have a Motorola T505 bluetooth attached to my visor and VVM does play through it.

Any ideas?

Yes, actually this is quite easy to explain... well, why one works and the other doesn't... not why there is a difference to Visual VoiceMail.

The T505 doesn't use the same Bluetooth Profile at your H12 headset. It uses the A2DP profile, which is designed for stereo bluetooth... in other words, it sees the T505 as a "speaker" and not a headset.

Now, I can't answer the "why" A2DP would work and the headset profile does not, but that would be why one device works and not the other.

I had suspected that was the issue, because my Droid can play Pandora out to my radio.
Maybe in the future there will be a fix to get VVM to go to a regular BT headset.
