Voice Search Quit Working

Out of the blue my voice search quit working...
It starts and the mic icon shows up and says "listening" but when I say something the voice pattern that used to show up while speaking does nothing ands the icon just sits there...
Voice dial works as it always has.
I have power cycled and did a battery pull... still the same.
I uninstalled Power Search that I had recently downloaded but no change.

Anyone???

exact same thing happened...but after i did a battery pull...i had to hard reset my phone...no idea where this came from

The same thing happened to me this morning on the way to work. I had to type in the address for my nav :icon_eek:

OK This is weird... It is working now.

Is Google search internal to the device or does it use the network even when searching internally?

Yesterday morning, the same thing happened with my phone. My wife's Droid was in the same state. Battery removal had no effect on either device, but other voice apps worked normally.

After a couple of hours, voice search was back. It's pretty clear to me that Google was updating voice search in some respect. And a surprise that there was that much network server activity in the process.
