Ok just to avoid this hassle I am considering just flipping my VZW G2 and buying an AT&T G2 outright. They are $464. Any differences between the two models other than the obvious rear button configuration??? I have never had a smartphone from AT&T. Do they lock theirs down in any other ways than VZW does???

Yeah I actually did read that. Still did not work.

The main difference is that AT&T does not have the wireless charging capability. Not an issue if your use to plugging in, but I've become fond of placing it on a pad at night and not having to figure out which way to plug in the stupid cable.

Gotta put it on my Best Buy CC to buy outright. I'll just pay it off as soon as I sell mine.

One slight chance difference I did notice when at AT&T today is their version has volume and brightness controls in the notification drop down. The VZW version doesn't.
