Want Froyo back!

I recently downgraded from stock 4.5.596 to Froyo then rooted with z4 and updated to 4.5.588 with ClockworkMod. I did this hoping that 4.5.588 did not have the wireless tether block. No such luck. I would now like to go back to Froyo. Do I need to SBF back again, or is there an easier way? Thanks in advance for your help.

Look up the team black hat app up on google. They have a wifi tether fix for Gingerbread

I have seen the patch mentioned, but don't know much about it. Does it allow wireless tether to work or is it a hack of the Verizon mobile hotpot? I am now running 4.5.596 rooted. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.
