No I ended up using a beta rom that was availible and had to completely wipe the phone and reload it was a pain but worked out

I'm interested in rooting my Eris. I read online that there were some dangers to rooting, but never saw any details on it. Will rooting my phone put me in danger of bricking my phone or getting me banned on the Verizon network in any way?

Flame me if u want but the Eris is about unbrickable I tryd rom after rom and more then half wouldn't boot or froze on start up and each time I just rebooted the phone into the boot loader and loaded a new rom. Its not as easy as my moto Droid but safer then it
