Water Damage - Help! :)

I'm pretty sure the phone is dead but when i try to turn it on i can hear it trying to turn on inside is there any possible chance it could still live?

friend of mine did the same thing... the indicators didn't change colors so he let it dry out and brought it back to Verizon and they gave him a new phone because they could not figure out why it was not working... not the most honest thing but hey it was free
