Very nice. I'll have to check out that thread, I must have missed it.I did create a thread about a watch face app for Tizen based watches recently. I'm very partial to photos of my youngest and here's one of her while we were camping when she was just a toddler

There are some good faces on the Play Store that will let you use a custom picture. One of the things I like about the Moto 360 2nd Gen is there is a built in face that lets you use a pic from your Gallery to make a watch face. That's the one I used to post the pic a week or so ago of the guy on the cliff about to be kicked. [emoji1]What a doll! I need to figure out how to use my own pictures on my G, but haven't given any time for learning how to customize.
Will try to send a pix of the face my watch is sporting if i can get my watch and phone to cooperate this morning...
I like it, looks cool. [emoji106] [emoji41]
Nothing original, but fun & funky [emoji41]

That sounds like a good idea. A place where prospective buyers / users could read information about different brands, styles and the functionality they provide. [emoji106] [emoji41]Photo Watch Gear is the thread title.
I'm thinking of starting a "so you're interested in a smartwatch" type thread to show the differences between platforms, how different platforms can now interact with each other, though very limitedly (is that even a word?) so, etc . Since AW 2.0 is in beta on some devices, Samsung will be introducing their 4th generation of Gears soon and Apple might be doing something new when the iPhone 7 comes out I'll probably wait until the fall since SO much will be different with AW2.0

Now don't feed my geek-need and have me shoppin' for one of those... I am still trying to settle into this G. I wish I had time to doink around with some of the customization settings. Maybe the kid will help me learn once the traveling G lands with my kid ..One of the things I like about the Moto 360 2nd Gen
OH! I really like that idea! Go for it!I'm thinking of starting a "so you're interested in a smartwatch" type thread to show the differences between platforms, how different platforms can now interact with each other, though very limitedly (is that even a word?) so, etc .
I only bought one because it ended up costing me $79 and a little bit of work. Otherwise I would still be wearing my G Watch. There is nothing wrong with a G Watch, they are still really good AW watches. Now don't feed my geek-need and have me shoppin' for one of those... I am still trying to settle in to this G. I hope with future releases a square/rectangle variant will be available in Android Wear models for those of us that don't mind , or actually prefer, the pocket pencil protector look on our wrists. Last watch I wore on a regular basis was a data bank and my hrm watch is square (with rounded corners) as well so going to a round smartwatch just isn't for me.I only bought one because it ended up costing me $79 and a little bit of work. Which one?
I was thinking more platform and separate phone capable vs non and not so much models and features. Sort of like beta max vs vhs until things shake out more. That's why I'm going to wait a bit longer. The differences right now are huge between platforms but by this Christmas they'll be closer and more confusing to the perspective buyer while at the same time AW is most likely going to end up the winner because of its combined do almost everything capability and the rock solid support developers are giving it to go with Google helping them out tremendously. That sounds like a good idea. OH! I love, love, love my G and don't see any great need for another, other than I typically wore round faced watches before my smartwatch. I am still so new to the technology that I don't see where it lacks anything other than some face styles, but I can deal with that. There is nothing wrong with a G Watch, they are still really good AW watches.
