My thread was about disabiling mobile sites, why did it get merged with a thread about the exact opposite request?

Same answer for both: set the user agent as desired.

i tried this and it doesnt work. i hate mobile sites as well.

What exactly did you try? Which browser? What site(s) did you test with?

Stupid me didn't even think that it could be a problem with Wikipedia itself. I did some looking around a few days ago, son I-Phone and windows mobile users had the same issue. Problem seems to have fixed itself
