Weird problem, booting problem, need some help!

Alright so I've been running smoked glass rom for a while when lo and behold today I realize I can get froyo up and running. So I got everything downloaded and booted into nandroid to begin the process. Well in the process while looking for the rom to install I managed to screw somethin up. I'm not sure what I hit but I attempted to reboot the phone normally to move the 2.2 file to a different spot on the sdcard. At this point the phone would not boot past the "m" logo. So I rebotted into recovery and attempted to do a simple nandroid restore. After finishing this I tried to reboot and had the same issue with getting stuck. So after browsing the forums for a minute I decided to try a long battery pull. After having the battery out for a good couple minutes I placed the battery back in. Well now I can't even get into recovery, it stays on the "m" logo whether I hold the x key while booting or not and that's all I can get out of it. Now I attempted and was able to get it into bootloader so i can reflash the .sbf but I would like to avoid that if possible. I've been looking for a good hour and can't seem to find anyone who has had the same exact issue so if possible I would really appreciate the help.

Well, reflashing with sbf won't kill your sd card, so after you do that you can try reinstalling sprecovery and loading a previous nandroid backup.
