Welcome to the LG Spectrum 2 Forums!

@layvin - The next time your phones crashes, run this command with the phone connected to the computer: # adb shell cat /proc/kmsg >> c:\crash.txt. This should pull the kernel log and possibly show what caused the reboot. I am pretty that was the command I used with beta testing on the Inc 2. Or even download Crash Collector on the Play store. Hopefully one of those will tell you something.

I never had a reboot when switching from Wifi to 4g/3g and I go back and forth. What type of encryption are you using for Wifi protection? I use WPA2-Personal with a repeater bridge in my house. I connect to both N-2.4ghz and N-5ghz.

Thanks for the info...ill try to dig into it more. I also use WPA2-Personal. Its not connection issues...the Spec2 connects faster and holds better than any device I have ever had. it just switching to one or the other or having one on and turning on the other while leaving the other on. if that makes sense.....:D

I've been silently following along here. Sorry to see you go Flavor, thanks for all you have done. I will test roms when they are available.
I've had reboot issues this week also, at least once a day, just in my pocket and hear it reboot? I will try checking log, thanks Flavor.
My location services stopped 10 days ago, gps could not connect. no weather nav or anything, this was after doing regular updates, restored nandroid backup from 3 weeks ago everything works now. FWIW layvin1 I also have Dolphin browser.

It didn't work for me when I'm tried and I think it is a ways off for now with the custom ROMs, it is proving difficult so far but miller has got one working some what already but it was basically just the stock ROM without most of the bloat.

.... Good things come to those who wait........keep on a look out everyone. B-)

Any idea if the stripped rom will also be deodexed? This would allow us to flash additional things that call for a deodexed rom.

Right now Miller is just trying to get something booting, but hopefully it will just be stock android for now.

I see you are torturing everyone layvin :)

Wasn't meant to be torture..... O:-)
Meant to be hopeful... but after the little possible discovery today.. It might as well be torture.... Uh oh! Did I speak to soon again? :-*

Alright guys here is a more official update.... We are at a stand still.... LG and VZW have ICS locked down on this device... We were able to get the ROM to install/flash without issue but can't (as of now) crack the Boot.img or bootloader. Once the phone tries to boot it realizes certain programs are missing and goes into a Boot Security Error and you have to flash your .cab file again.... I have branched out about this and it appears the BOOT.IMG is different then on some of the other LG devices they were able to get around this. So until I can get a logcat of the boot chain up to that point of the secure error screen I am at a stand still.... LG has admitted openly that VZW will NOT allow them to release ANYTHING to unlock the boot loader on the Spectrum 2 but have confirmed they are working on a release for the LTE2. Just another way Big Red has denied and in my eyes broken the whole philosophy of the AOSP community... I do not understand how they can get away with that but I will keep working on this once someone is able to get me the logcat during this boot.....
