Welcome to the Motorola Droid Bionic Forum!

I agree, and as long as we can't notice much of a difference, I'm fine with it. And I'm sure that the dual core processor is whats really gonna matter anyway.

Good to see you around again Brian! LTNS! :D

EDIT: Back on topic: CK is this the phone I'm getting next? I decided long ago...whatever you get...is what i'm gettin :rofl3: I've had an available upgrade since Aug.

Lol, its good to be back. It took a phone like this to bring out of hiding.

February Sanjay said..........

Sanjay said February? In the conference today....the blond chick said by March for the 4G phones.

Yupper...said it according to this article

Brier Dudley's Blog | CES: Verizon gives big picture, 4G devices, Honeycomb and no iPhone | Seattle Times Newspaper

CK, unfortunately, that article has it backwards. "
The Bionic launches in February, but won't run on 4G until an update comes in the second quarter. The Xoom also launches in teh second quarter."

The Xoom is the one coming in February and will get an update to run on 4G.

I don't dispute that at all...somebody is going to post a link to reflect what you just said. Just like anything though. These things are not always accurate and more often than not end up changing

Very true.

I still think this one won't drop until the X reaches EOL in March. It would totally kill any last minute X sales.

The one AND only Tegra 2.........best processor next to the ORION....hands down

I think qualcomn will rule the roost when they release their chip processing wise. Who knows about gpu though. That has really yet to be determined.

Tankster I love ya : ) by the time Qualcomm comes around Nvidia and Samsung will have already moved on. Heck the Dual Core TI OMAP is not even ready.

But the qualcomn I'm talking about is 28nm, 1.2Ghz for each core, several networks built in (CDMA, GSM, LTE, etc) and an adreno 300. Blows everything here away and most of what we know is coming or have speculated.

Have fun.

It's going to be a big change, in more ways than just one..

Believe it or not, I have been waiting for a device that is ready to go out of the box - no custom ROM's to "make it better" -

I want it stock and mind blowing

But do you really believe a locked down phone will really be running at its full potential? and you know there is more to a community than speed. There are the awesome features, cool mods, different rings, different types of kennels and recoveries, and more as the list goes on and on. A device, dual core or not, will not be as good as it can be in a state full of blur and locked hardware.

Also, the bionx really had one thing going for it over the current gen of devices and it can hardly use it. Most high end phones have specs just as good almost all over.
