Welcome to the Project Elite GNex section!

Thanks a lot. Have you flashed it, and if so how do you like it? Missed P.E. and UD.

I have flashed it, it was stable and fast. But it was lacking a few features that i couldn't do without at this time, so I'm back to my daily driver. The only thing i found that didn't work was wallet. I know once it is complete it will have the features everyone loves. At this point it's pretty much stock as far as features goes. Give it a try should work a daily driver without issue.

it may be missing features you can't do without, but it is far from stock.

the settings are integrated into the menu settings so it has a clean stock feel, but it may mean you have to look for them which is different from other roms (it is one of the many things i like about how PE does things). the latest build has quad lockscreen, led settings, navigation buttons settings, build.prop tweaks, performance settings, battery percentages, mms options, launcher options, etc. you have to look in display settings, interface settings, etc. :)

Guess I'll have to give this a try. Always loved P.E. Running lqd1.4 at the moment. So have try maybe tomorrow.

You are correct it's not a stock rom. It was just missing a few things that keep me from running it daily. I listen to music over two hours a day, without volume rocker track skip it makes shipping tracks while driving more difficult. Also i couldn't find a way to change the camera on the lockscreen to a ringer toggle. I also couldn't find a way to change the navigation bar color.

This by no means mean the rom is bad. It just doesn't have a few things i use daily. If im just missing these things let me know.

I am thrilled with the 5.26.12 test build. I am excited to see the theme chooser added soon and this will be my daily ROM even as a test build. Actually using it now back and forth. Greg does excellent work. Tons of features already.

Late to the party

I just found and loaded Project Elite 8.0 for my Galaxy Nexus. I used PE 6.5 on my original droid when nothing else worked anymore, and I am so glad to be back. Awesome rom, just as I would expect! Thanks! dancedroid

Are you talking about the test builds? I didn't think any official thing has dropped yet.

Yes, it is the latest-dated nightly, but it is labeled as 8.0. Sorry if there was some confusion. If this is a beta I can hardly wait for the "real thing"!

Its completely fine! And trust me I can hardly wait either. It feels like its taking years. But Greg always releases top notch Roms.

Is there pe talk going on anywhere else? Seems as though droid forums is all but dead. Everything seems to have moved to rootz. Want to make sure I'm getting the latest info. Haven't seen much room chatter on twitter.

Sadly no,there is nothing anywhere. Here and twitter is about it. All of droidforums is dead with everyone going over to rootz.

Oh well guys I'll just keep my eyes peeled to twitter.

I hate that droid forums is going away but i guess that's just how things go. Maybe the pe team will open a thread at rootz once the final release drops.

I still prefer it here for multiple reasons, less trolls, a tighter community, and also the fact that roms get there own section. Rootz has sections for AOKP and gummy. Everything else is located in like 30 pages it needs cleanup badly.

Oh i agree i much prefer it here. I hate hunting down a rom if it gets pushed down its hard to find. I'm in the habit of favoriting everything just so i can find the stuff i want.

My interest in rom flashing has drastically been reduced by having to hunt for roms and by the first page always being filled with roms that my phone doesn't like. Then I come here and no one updates there roms. Though at least the people here are less rude.
