Welcome to the Project Elite GNex section!

Me too. Bluetooth was crazy. And the phone dialer locked up often. Tried to restore a backup, but it acted like the file was empty. Had to reflash the first build from November. Everything was running just like PE always does until that stuff.

Can you guys give me more specifics on which ROM build and kernel build you guys were using when things went wonky?

It was the 12/17 build for me with built in kernel. I think 4.2 hates Bluetooth, lol.

I was on the 12/17 build and the first version of the 12/19 kernel, before you took it down and put up the new one. I continued to have the problem with the 2nd version. I usually don't do a clean wipe when going from pe version to a new version but did that time because I was having the calendar issue. I didn't wipe at all when flashing the kernel. the only other thing I changed before the problems started was that I flashed the boot animation you linked to. hope this helps.

I think the issue is the new users need a tutorial on how to reinstall everything the way they like it quickly. It should take no more than 10 mins to wipe all, flash new ROM & be all set up and ready to go if you know what you are doing.

Good luck to all.

Is there such a tutorial? If not you should write one! If there is, post a link? I'm sure there are quite a few ppl that would benefit from it.

It would be great if someone could update girluvsdroid's step by step guide to flashing roms from the original project elite droid days. i haven't been able to get the new titanium backup and think that would greatly decrease the time it takes to flash a rom after a full wipe.

Alright. Disclaimer: all kernels from 12-19 and 12-20 are defunked. Finally got everything straightened out. There is a new build up. 12-21. It is good to go. The new interactive stuff is reverted that was causing lock ups. Added some Wi-Fi patches from Google

The file says 12-22 but in about phone section after flashing build date says 12-09. This is because I did not do a make clean before building and the build prop was not remade since it wasn't changed. Just a heads up it is a build from 12-22 that contains the stock jb 4.2 kernel not bucks kernel. We are going to start posting builds with both stock n bucks this way users can choose if they'd like.
Thanks a ton rk for flashing, building and testing for its helped solve several issues before posting builds

does that mean that everything in this build is the same as Buck's 12/17 build except for the kernel?

No a lot was added since then. It basically means when you build you can start from a clean folder or just build and it only rebuilds what's changed. Since nothing in the build prop was changed it wasn't rebuilt when I did the build so the build date in about phone says 12-9. Now a whole bunch of other stuff was rebuilt though including framework and a lot of jar files etc etc.hopefully that clarifies it a little more.

Dunno what changed since the last build. But this latest build feels much more snappy and responsive. Great work.

Coming from the AOKP linaro preview builds that Stevespear has been providing. PE Gnex is very smooth using leankernel and the leantweaks script. Tried the buck kernel but I personally don't like having to use an app like trickster to control the kernel. Battery life seems good but I have only been running it for a day.

Only thing I truly miss right now is the navbar widgets in AOKP. I love hiding all my music widgets there to keep my screens cleaner. Any shot at PE cherry picking that???

Thanks Grezy!

I was just wondering what you tweak with the script. Also did you happen to try the script with my kernel? I'd be curious to know if it does. Let me know. If the stuff you tweak gives a performance boost I could include it in the kernel by default.

Buck any chance to get touch wake added to your kernel? I love that feature and I can't find any 4.2 kennels that have it.
